Subject:Ituna School News

As this school year is coming to an even closer end, Ituna School has been kept extremely busy with many different activities and events going on. The Sr. SRC started off the month with a plan on each Tuesday of the month to sell snacks to continue the fundraising with Haiti and having the additional extra profit to go to help Fort McMurray.

At the beginning of the month Jr. Badminton wrapped up with Sharlize Keisig and Mackenzie Lasch competing in Districts in Watrous. All players had a great season and a special thanks goes out to their coaches for putting in their own time as well.

26 athletes also headed out to Raymore for the pre district track and field meet. All athletes did the best that they could and Ituna was represented extremely well having 17 athletes move on to districts. Districts this year were held in Humbolt and the participants this time also gave it their all and many came close to making it to provincials. A huge congratulations goes to Ella Clark and Kellie Kozak for making it to provincials, which are held the first weekend in June in Regina! All athletes would also like to thank the coaches for their time and long hours put into making this track season another great one!

On May 17, Jump Rope for Heart was held for Kindergarten to grade 6 students. All students had an enjoyable time raising over $4300 for a great cause!

Grade 6 students also went to Wynyard on May 26 for a day full of ball! They all had great fun playing many different towns in the tournament.

As the end of May rolled around it also meant Grad!! The church service was held Thursday, May 26. The following day was the banquet and graduation exercises at the gym. These thirteen graduates sure left their mark as they “laid a lot of memories down, like tattoos on this town.”  Ituna School would once again like to congratulate those grads and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.

As busy as May was, June will be just as crazy and will fly by as it is the final stretch. Finish off the school year strong!
