 Pink Day at Drake!

During last week, it was pink day for Drake. Everyone was dressed in the colour, and it was just a normal day. We had our assembly which had loads of announcements. We were shown what bullying looked like, and what caused this day to happen. Then, it was time to dance! Our students followed the Unity dance moves, and I am pretty sure that we rocked! We kept practicing and we nailed it. Although we had lots of fun, we still thought about what bullying really was. What it does to people’s minds, and what can be done to remove bullying in all the schools of the world. Because we should all know that bullying is never a good thing and should be eliminated for good. So we should all take a stand against bullying!

School Visit from Division Senior Leadership

This week at Drake, a couple of people came to our school from the division. It was a big day for us, and so we made sure that everything went swimmingly. Every student was reminded to be behaved and collected. We prepared for quite a while. Alas, the day came, and it went. At the beginning, just seeing the very professional adults was beginning to make us students anxious. But as the school day went on, it felt normal. So, we all learned that they were just people - with really cool jobs. That's how that big day turned out.
