March Madness Coming to a Close!

March has been very much a busy month in LeRoy School. We rounded up our Pink Day activities with our Elementary Pink Day on March 18th. We had Watson School and Quill Lake School come and join our K to 6 Pink Day. The day was full of fun! We had a motivational magician in the morning who entertained in a way that taught building a great environment within schools and yourself. We then had the SRC students play leaders in 8 different stations. These stations all had pink day purposes and were ways for the students to learn in an exciting new way. Stations like person crumple, obstacle course, even making blankets which were sent home with the schools were included. All the kids had a blast and are looking forward to next Pink Day, as for the students, SRC, and staff at LeRoy school we are looking forward to some well-deserved rest as another very successful Pink Day year is over!

As the month winds down we saw a PJ week in lieu with our fundraiser goals; which all the students always enjoy! We also have the start-up of badminton and drama… Badminton students practice Mondays and Thursdays; with students in league play Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We wish all of our competitors luck! Drama students have been rehearsing late Mondays and late Wednesdays; preparing one hilarious play about an old folk’s home. Show date will soon be decided keep your eyes open for it!

March was one for the books and we are excited for the Easter break and April to be here soon. With April we will also be welcoming 2 new teachers as we are saying goodbye for a while to Mrs. Gusikoski and Mrs. Bilodeau as they are both expecting baby #3! We can’t wait for what April brings… keep an eye out for news from LeRoy School!
