Subject:Ham, Scalloped Potatoes and Telemiracles at Winston High!

An annual tradition never loses its lustre, especially not Watrous’s Telemiracle Ham and Scalloped Potato Supper. Thursday February 4th the whole school prepared their best for the whole town to enjoy. The SRC put blood sweat and tears into the great success. (Maybe not blood and tears).

The school’s garage bands performed that evening, entertaining the guests as everyone enjoyed a night dedicated to a good cause. Donations for attending the supper went straight to Telemiracle cause, as did the other activities Winston participated in like the food drive. Now my favourite part, as is every year, was the deserts. If you can believe it, endless pieces of cakes, pies, chocolate things with gooey centers and  . . . I better stop before I get too enthralled.

As always, a success. Winston helped another great cause, doing its part for the community and the province. It wouldn’t be the school it is without these annual fundraisers, and a big thanks goes out to everyone who lent a helping hand, whether the planning, the cooking, the baking, the entertaining or the eating. It was truly a wonderful evening.
