Subject:St. Brieux School News

Well, it finally feels like winter out in 2016! St. Brieux School has been very busy over the past few weeks as we just returned from Christmas break January 4. On December 16, the K-6 Christmas concert was held with the senior SRC serving hot chocolate and Smiley’s cookies. It was a fun night full of fellowship and fabulous singing. The Senior SRC also put on “intercom bingo” on the afternoon of December 18th as students prepared to head out for Christmas break! It was a blast and a great way to wind down and relax. The school’s renovations are making progress even as the weather gets colder and colder. We (senior SRC) are preparing for gym blast that will occur on February 12! We are very fortunate to be able to put on a gym blast this year as we have gone a few years without one! Red Cross Day of Pink is held on February 24 and we will be selling t-shirts. The Senior SRC will be going around to the K-6 grades and playing games with them to teach them about bullying and how to stop it!  For this month, the Jr. SRC will be planning the food/spirit day. They decided that they would sell donuts and the school will dress in their best western get up. The school has been bustling with activities between basketball, exams coming up for grades 10-12, and renovations, life has been hectic! The senior SRC is donating $1000.00 to the Floor Fundraiser which is a very beneficial fit. From students and staff at St. Brieux School, we hope you all had a safe and restful holiday season and wish you all health and happiness for the New Year!
