We Remember
With all of the volleyball teams rounding out their seasons we remember all the laughs, sweat, and tears we have shared as teammates. We reminisce on what all as team we battled through, what we have achieved, and the fun we had doing it! All of the LeRoy School volleyball teams ended their season fighting; Junior girls finished 2nd in league and fought hard at pre-districts, Junior boys battled hard at both league and pre-districts and have shown such improvement through the year, and finally the Senior girls finished their season with fight and heart at conferences in Anaheim; losing a hard game against the Rebels in the playoffs. As a school we are very proud of all these teams have done and how well they have represented our school.
On November 10th LeRoy School remembered the men and women who have sacrificed their lives to have freedom in Canada. We remember the loved ones lost the hard times they struggled through, and the wars that destroyed families across Canada. During the service many of the students read their poems, stories, and essays. Along with the presentation of any winners of the annual Legion Remembrance Day contests in various categories… Congratulations to our many winners and thank you for continuously showing respect and remembrance to our veterans. Along with the 10th the grad class of 2016 held a pancake breakfast on November 11th along with another very successful service. They did great; breakfast tasted delicious and the turnout was amazing!

LeRoy School is looking forward to PJ week and much more to come after the long weekend!

Our Pride and Joy
After the long weekend all of the students were treated to a week of PJ’s! Everyone took advantage of the easy dress up week! The SRC also had a sub hot lunch, which went over great! All of the SRC members found their inner Subway talents making each and every sub taste amazing!
Along with these, our participating with Operation Christmas Child came to an end. Operation Christmas Child is a project of the Samaritans Purse. They bring joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes. The student’s boxes were due November 20th. It went over very well and we are proud of all the students that participated in making a difference in these children’s lives! We also had students in our school make an impact on our little community as well. For a Physical Education class the grades 11 and 12s ventured out into the cold to help build LeRoy’s outdoor rink as we are patiently waiting for our new rink!
We are always so proud of our students, making impacts on the world big or small! Look forward to December and the upcoming holiday season events!
