Subject:Quill Lake School “Family Fun Night”

Quill Lake School hosted a “Family Fun Night” on Wednesday, October 21st.  It was an opportunity for parents and community members to come together and socialize with QLS teachers and staff, and have some fun at the same time.

The evening began with a Spaghetti Supper hosted by our School Community Council.  Thank you to our hardworking SCC for cooking, serving and cleaning up the evening meal.  Over 150 meals were served.

The school library was a busy place.  The Scholastic Book Fair was in full swing, with people lining up to buy a new selection of books, posters and other fun items.

There were games in the gym for the kids, including the popular game “Don’t Forget the Lyrics”.  The Yearbook committee was busy selling yearbooks, and the SRC had their new line of school clothing available for sale.  The SCC were also selling QSP magazines as a fundraiser.

The SRC sold popcorn which was a big hit with kids young and old. Quill Lake Girl Guides were selling cookies.  Partners Family Services were on hand with information and to answer questions.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support, and host, the Quill Lake School “Family Fun Night”!
