Welcome May!  Welcome, and thank you for coming to Saskatchewan to finally breaking the spell that has been cursed upon us called “winter”.  Your magic of warmth and of spring has boosted all of our spirits and brought us great joy.  Doesn’t everyone else absolutely love the nice weather!  It is such a great treat to be able to go outside without having to put on a parka and dress as if you live on the North Pole.
To welcome the new weather and no snow we have been gearing up with baseball.  The Grade 6 ball tournament was on May 29th.  Mrs. Bzdel and Mrs. Reeve had been working with the two grade six classes.   The students were split into three teams for almost one month to prepare them for the ball tournament.  All of the grade six classes in our school division got together to play ball against each other.  The grade six students arrived at school at a normal time and boarded the busses around 9:00 am. to drive to Foam Lake. All of the classes played ball from 9:30-2:10 with a lunch break in between.  Students had the choice of buying lunch/food/snacks/drinks at the canteen that was put on for the day, or they could pack their own food.
All teams had lots of fun and made lots of memories and had an AWESOME time!  We arrived back at the school in time for bus dismissal.
The end of the school year is coming quickly and everyone is super excited to be finishing this year and preparing for next year.  As well, it will be great to enjoy all of the nice weather and spend time with family.
I hope that everyone had a good month of May and is excited to see what June will bring.  I will see (write) you in my next report!
Good-bye!
