Subject:Neal Hughes Speaks at Muenster School
On the afternoon of April 16, Neal Hughes, Saskatchewan Roughrider fullback and two-time Grey Cup champion, visited Muenster School to share an anti-bullying message with groups of students from K-12. In his talk, Neal spoke out against bullying and shared some of his personal experiences with bullying in schools. His presentation was delivered on behalf of the Canadian Red Cross Imagine No Bullying campaign, sponsored by SaskTel.

Neal was born and raised in Regina, where he had a successful collegiate career with the University of Regina Rams before beginning his professional career with the Riders in 2004. He has spoken in many schools over the past 11 years and enjoys the opportunity to share a positive message with kids.

He first spoke with Muenster’s K-4 students, encouraging them to be kind to one another and to speak out if they see someone being bullied. Grade 5-12 students were then treated to a longer version of his anti-bullying message regarding positive relationships and mutual respect. Following each of these presentations, Neal signed autographs for excited students and staff.
