Subject:Welcoming Saskatchewan Express

On Febuary 10th, 2015, Viscount Central proudly welcomed Saskatchewan express to our school. Saskatchewan Express is a group of talented performers ranging from the ages eighteen to thirty. They travel across the province yearly performing musical numbers for others to enjoy. At 9:30 am that morning they put on a workshop for anyone interested in performing. Roughly twenty students ranging from grades k-12 came to experience the workshop. First off everyone gathered together in the home-ec room to meet two of the male singers who perform in the group. They gave everyone a quick voice lesson/warm up. Next they taught everyone lyrics to Katy Perry's “Roar.” After a long period of practicing, everyone moved into the gym to learn some choreography to go with the song, taught by two of the female singers in the group. Once the dance routine was completed they added everything together. That afternoon at 2:30 pm Saskatchewan Express put on an amazing show for everyone in our school. We were also happy to have grade k-8 students from Allan come watch the show as well. During the performance Saskatchewan Express called upon the students from our school who participated in the workshop that We thank Allan students for coming and hope they had as great of a time as we did.
