Subject:Fears and Dreams
Being a teenager is hard. It doesn’t matter how smart you are, there is no easy way around the teenage years. Watch any John Hughes film, and you’ll understand. But hold up! That doesn’t mean that’s a bad thing, and the MHAC is paving the way for Winston’s teenagers.
On Wednesday January 14th the MHAC hosted an event that helped the students open their eyes to their own personal fears and dreams. Each student was asked to write down both their biggest fear and their biggest dream. Each note was strung across the school anonymously, a way of showing the students how big fears and big dreams are not something to be scared of, but something to be proud of!
The MHAC has already done so much for raising awareness for mental illness for Winston, and there is still so much more to be done! Thanks to the committee for all that they do and the students who participated!
