Subject:F.L.E.S. Christmas Concert
The Foam Lake Elementary School had a Christmas concert on December 17.  There were two performances of our concert one evening concert one afternoon concert at 1:00 and one evening concert at 7:00.
The beginning of our concert started with our grade 5 and 6 F.L.E.S. band playing “Good King Wenceslas” and “Jolly Old Saint Nicholas”. The Grade 6 band students also played “Jingle Bells” and “Up on the Housetop”.
This year the classes sang many songs and Christmas carols including “Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer”, “Old Saint Nickolas Had a Tree” and “I’m Gettin Nuttin for Christmas”. The students did a great job of entertaining with their songs!  The Kindergarten class entertained us with “It Must be Santa” and did a great job of remembering all the words.  The grade 1 class had a cute song with “Old St. Nick Had a Tree”, complete with mistletoe.  The grade 6 performance also included a surprise visit from Santa.  The grade 5 class added cups and bells to make their song very festive.
Some classes also did choral speaking and small plays.  The grade 2 class did a great job of enacting the true meaning of Christmas with a play based on the birth of Jesus.  The grade 3 class had a special Christmas alphabet and the grade 4 class reminded us how grandparents are special.
Our concert ended with all the students in our grand finale. All the students sang “Make a Difference” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”.  Overall, our Christmas concert was a huge success and all of the students and teachers had a great time.
