Christmas Spirit
As usual, December was a busy month. We had two giving tables at each end of the school which they were filled right up.  Also, we are raising money for “Hope for Malawi”.  The money we raise goes toward protection, education and basic living needs for the children in Africa.  On December 12th, the SRC held a movie night and played the movie How to Train your Dragon 2 – the proceeds all went to the “Hope for Malawi” charity.  The elementary students worked very hard on practicing their singing and acting over the past few weeks to put on a Christmas Concert! Well done students!  Does anyone remember back in November when you sent in those poems, posters or essays for a Remembrance Day competition?  In Cudworth School, we had 11 talented students that have advanced to the next level of the competition. Congratulations!  Lastly, as you all know, Christmas holidays are coming and the Cudworth staff will be making a Christmas dinner for all the staff and students to enjoy on December 19th.  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone! We'll see you back in class on January 4th.

December Sports
December hasn't been the busiest time for sports in Cudworth School - with only Basketball and Curling going on - but it's been a good couple weeks for these teams. The Cudworth basketball team consists of grades 9 to 12 and they have had two games. Their first game was on December 9th against Viscount and their second game was on December 17th against Lake Lenore. The boys have been learning a great deal about the game and have been improving their skills. Two Cudworth Senior Curling teams went to Prince Albert on December 12th and 13th. The teams did very well in their games and worked on their skills for upcoming games. Thank you to all the teachers who take their time to coach these teams.
