October has been a busy month for Ituna School. October got started off with our annual Terry Fox Walk.~ After the walk, hamburgers were enjoyed by all and raffle prizes were drawn. A total of $500 was raised to donate to cancer research.
The QSP magazine campaign kicked off on October 3rd. Students from grade 3-12 assembled to learn about all the rewards that they will get for selling magazines. The SRC set a school goal to sell 400 magazines.
The volleyball team has been on the road lots, attending tournaments in Wakaw, Indian Head, and an exhibition game in Kelliher. The football team has also played games against Lemberg and Milestone.
The Ituna SADD chapter sent the four executive members to the SADD provincial conference in Regina on October 17/18. All members gained new knowledge that they are excited to bring back to the school. They also won the Nicole Nakonechny Memorial Award for the most active SADD chapter in Saskatchewan. They received a $1 000 grant based on their efforts to promote awareness in the community.
