Subject:Schell School's Scoop
Welcome back to the students and staff at Schell! “Everything is Awesome” at Schell this year as we learn alongside Lego’s Emmet. The students would like to say a HUGE thanks to the staff for a wonderful first week! There have been a lot of smiling faces in the hallways and it seems like everyone is falling back into the school rhythm. This year we are putting extra effort into improving our literacy skills, so on September 8th (International Literacy day) the grade 11/12s grabbed some books and showed Mrs. Fahlmans grade 1/2/3 class how awesome reading can be.
There are a few big events to look forward to at Schell this month. In Sports, the Cross Country and Jr. Girls volleyball teams have begun practicing with Mr. Kurbis, and the Sr. Girls have joined Imperial’s Sr. Girls volleyball team for another great season. Trevor, Leah, and I will be participating with Mrs. Fahlman in the SLC conference from September 17th-19th in Nipawin. This is always a great experience for our SLC members and we are looking forward to being a part of it this year. Schell School students, staff and community members will participate in the Terry Fox Run on Wednesday, September 24th. We are getting ready and collecting as many pledges as we can to help raise funds for the Terry Fox Foundation.
I look forward to sharing all the “AWESOME” learning and activities going on at Schell School as I take on my new role as school reporter.

Remember...at Schell “Everything is Awesome”!
