FirstClass with a Web Browser
Using a web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.) you can visit www.hzsd.ca and click on the ‘FirstClass’ quick link to bring you to the login.

Install FirstClass Client

Setting up FirstClass Client

The first time you launch FirstClass, you will need to set it up so that it is pointed to our division server.
Follow these steps:
FirstClass, or if there is a FirstClass icon on your desktop, double click it.
Once open you should see the FirstClass login dialog.

If you are using Macintosh, double click the FirstClass icon on your desktop. If one does not exist you can find FirstClass by opening ‘Finder > Applications > FirstClass’.
Once opened you will see the FirstClass login dialog (if not, pull down the Collaborate menu to Connect).

Default User Settings
To set up the client you must know a few key items.

Your e-mail address - first name dot lastname@hzsd.ca (Example:  john.doe@hzsd.ca)

Your login name - first initial last name (Example jdoe)

Your temporary password - hzsd205fc

Change Your Password
**You may change this password at any time. It is highly recommended that you change it the first time you login.
To change your password using the client program, click the ‘Collaborate’ menu and select ‘Change Password....’
Enter your current password in the top field, and then enter your new password twice in the two remaining boxes. Click ‘Ok’ to save the new password.
