THIS WEEK IN HORIZON (April 20 -24, 2015)
Kevin C. Garinger – Director of Education

I’m going to begin this week with a glimpse into a great little story that took place in Wadena on Friday night. As we grow up, we are told over and over we can be anything we want to be in this world. Some of us likely aspired to be great sports athletes, perhaps great writers or maybe even a great musician. My own mother told me I could be anything I wanted to if I worked hard enough. When I asked if I could be the president, she snickered and said in her own way, “Of course”. In your own right, each of you likely achieved some semblance of your childhood aspirations. For me, my childhood ambition was nearly impossible and I had given up hope…until Wadena on Friday night.
